For all those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.
Luke 14:11
This is the great reversal. Luke mentions it several times (most recently in Luke 13:30), and that’s most certainly because Jesus mentioned it countless times. The least will be the greatest. The last shall be first. Life comes from death. Humility bring honor. In other words, the way of Jesus is right-side up in an upside-down world.
God humbles the proud and is proud of the humble.
