The ones who followed his instructions, who did their part . . . .
They got to not only witness but participate in Jesus’ first miracle!
Filling basins with water didn’t make much sense. It may have been challenging and time consuming. It may not have felt like “the real work,” but it was essential and exactly what Jesus wanted them to do.
Has Jesus asked me to do ordinary, perhaps challenging tasks that don’t seem like “the real work”?
I should do them faithfully. A miracle may be on the way.
